An awareness session was held in Tartar and Aghjabadi regions within the framework of the project “Promotion of Open Government and Support for Increasing the Use of Electronic Services”.

The event was organized by Regional Human Rights and Media Center Public Union with the support of the Council on State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Addressing the event, chairman of the organization Khalid Kazimov said that the project aims to support the implementation of the Open Government Partnership Initiative (OGPI) in Azerbaijan, to inform residents of the region about e-services and to assist them in using electronic services.

Then, Ruslan Mursalov, an expert from Data Processing Center of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, told  the participants about the advantages of e-services and  the E-government portal: “E-government is a system that allows  government agencies to provide electronic services to citizens, entrepreneurs and civil servants  on the basis of  a “single window” principle using cutting-edge  information technologies. 454 e-services  are currently  available on the E-government portal. There are 4 authentication tools (identification) for registration on the E-government portal. These are E-signature, E-Gov mobile identification tool, passcode given to the citizen by E-government portal and ASAN imza. Most government agencies provide their services through the E-government portal. Also, 17 types of reference documents can be submitted online through the portal, which is of great interest.”

The event continued with discussions on building of E-government.
