Data Processing Center of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, which is the operator of E-government portal, together with E-Government Training and Education Center held a regular workshop for students.

The purpose of such workshops is to assist future specialists in choosing career in the ICT field, as well as  provide them with detailed information on e-government, electronic services, electronic signatures, electronic documents etc.

Speaking at the workshop, which was held for the students of Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University (ASPU), director of the Computer Center of ASPU Ilham Ahmedov said as in the whole world, in our country great importance is attached to the ICT sphere. Head of Center said  the application of ICT in the country’s social sphere began with the implementation of the National Strategy for 2003-2012.

Acting director of the E-Government Training and Education Center Rauf Jabbarov spoke about the advantages of ICT and forecasts for the development of this sphere. He provided detailed information on the Center’s activity, as well as projects implemented in this direction.

Then a presentation on the role of E-government portal was made. The engineer of the Data Processing Center Elvin Jafarli spoke on the creation and development of the portal and the services provided to citizens. Speaking about the interchange of electronic document, he provided detailed information to the students on the advantages of electronic signature.

The workshop, which continued with various presentations on topics, ended with answers to questions from the audience and discussions.
