A memorandum was signed between EGDC and “Azericard”

On November 12, 2021, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the E-GOV Development Center (EGDC) of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and “Azericard” LLC.

One of the directions of the memorandum is to automate the payment of services provided to citizens in the "ASAN service" centers within the “Azericard” Contactless Technology Alliance (ACTA), which will further save time and increase the satisfaction of citizens. The cooperation also includes the integration of existing payments in the "ASAN payment" system into the "Azericard" payment system and the provision of user access to e-payments.

According to the memorandum, cooperation will be carried out in the development and implementation of innovative projects within the new “StartupFest’ organized by the State Agency. The purpose of the “StartupFest” partnership is to organize and present startup projects In the field of payment and services using the latest technologies and approaches. Within the framework of joint cooperation, it is also planned to implement hackathons and other joint projects in the field of “Fintek”.

EGDC provides information and e-services to citizens, legal entities and individuals, foreign citizens and stateless persons by state bodies using modern information technologies.

“Azericard”, the first processing center in Azerbaijan, has been serving customers for 25 years. The center currently serves 15 local and 2 foreign banks. The application of modern technologies and innovative solutions remains a priority in the activities of “Azericard”.
